Campus Safety Information

Campus Safety badge logo
The Campus Safety Department has a non-commissioned security force of eight full-time and approximately seventeen part-time officers. All Campus Security Officers have received First Aid, CPR and AED training and additional instruction in emergency response.

Crime Prevention

Campus Safety Officer
The Director of Safety and Security will conduct crime prevention and safety awareness presentations when requested by various community groups, including students and employees of the College. Participants are routinely encouraged to be responsible for their own security and safety.

Reporting

Filling out paperwork
For statistical purposes, crime statistics reported to any of these sources are recorded in the calendar year the crime was reported. A written request for statistical information is made on an annual basis to all Campus Security Authorities, as defined by federal law.

Emergency Preparedness

Reviewing checklist
The Pierce College Emergency Management Plan includes information about College operating status parameters, incident priorities, shelter-in-place and evacuation guidelines, and local contingency and continuity planning requirements.
